The sizzling beauty Katrina Kaif may not have won a best actress award but the actress says she is just doing a Salman! So every time she loses an award for the best actress after being nominated for it, she has got Salman Khan as an inspiration.
At a pre-event press conference of the Filmfare Awards, Katrina says, “Salman Khan has taught me to work for 20 years, give hits but don’t ever win an award.”
Katrina Kaif, who has bagged a nomination at the upcoming 55th Filmfare Awards in best actor category for her role in New York, says that there is a new category for the people who never win awards and that’s going to be she and Salman Khan.
Says she, “”Nominations don’t excite me now. I have been nominated earlier but I haven’t won any award yet.” She continues, “I am very much used to not winning awards after being nominated. Now I don’t feel excited or thrilled when I come to know about my nominations.” She says that she is happy with the nomination and won’t mind if someone else wins the trophy

Sexiest of the lot, Katrina Kaif who is said to have charged 50 Lac for 20 minutes almost met with a wardrobe malfunction at a high profile sangeet party of Radhika Singhal and Saurabh Dhoot (Industrialist) at a bungalow on Amrita Shergill Marg. Katrina was in the Capital on Wednesday to receive an achievement award.
A reliable source reveals, “Things went kaput when Katrina almost met with a wardrobe malfunction. The star pocketed Rs. 50 Lakhs for her 20-minute performance. The star was so engrossed that she didn’t realize that her choli had malfunctioned exposing her lower torso. The front bencher guests managed to grab some of Kats stills on their cameras.
“Kat’s enthusiastic and sexy dance routine with Saurabh went down well with the crowd, including Radhika, who happily surrendered her partner at Kat’s request,” source adds. Also present at the occasion were music director duo Vishal and Shekhar who performed too. Actors Abhay Deol and Nikhil Dwivedi and filmmaker Navdeep Singh were among the 1,500 guests present at the pre-wedding bash celebrating the match between families of two prominent industrialists of Delhi.

In all her films so far, Katrina Kaif has kissed only once, in Kabir Khan’s New York. She decided she wasn’t too comfortable doing it, and told a close friend that she had decided never do another kissing sequence again.
Katrina has now decided to make it official. She won’t do a kissing sequence, even if the producer-director uses the oldest trick to persuade her: the script demanded it.
Says a friend of the actress, “Katrina has said no to kissing scenes in all her films barring New York. And believe me, the directors are very keen to see her kiss her co-stars. Katrina cleverly keeps dodging all the so-called must-kiss scenes. She is a very conservative girl at heart. In fact, when reports claimed that she was going to wear a bikini in Dostana 2, a la Priyanka Chopra in the first Dostana, Katrina protested violently and made it clear to producer Karan Johar and director Tarun Mansukhani: no exposure, no kissing.”
Says Katrina, “I don’t deny I’ve done scenes in the past where I did things that I wasn’t comfortable with. But now I won’t. I just don’t feel comfortable doing kissing scenes, or for that matter, wearing a bikini on screen.”
In both, Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani and Raajneeti, there was apparently a request for a kiss with Ranbir Kapoor.
Katrina said a polite but firm no.
Says a source, “All the intimate scenes in Raajneeti are between Ranbir and his American girlfriend played by Sarah Thompson. They have lingering lovemaking and kissing shots. In the Indian portion of Ranbir’s story, there’s no intimacy with Katrina. She convinced the director that the character of the dignified politician would not go down well with the audience doing intimate scenes.”
Katrina is quite firm as she says, “It’s true. I’m not at all comfortable doing kissing scenes. Call me a prude or conservative. I just don’t feel kissing scenes jell well with our audiences. So no kissing scenes for me.”

A 15-day old leopard was found near Devankhedi village near Bhopal on January 22nd and was rescued by Van Vihar national park’s team. The cub was named Katrina because the villagers thought she was as beautiful and silky as Katrina Kaif.
Katrina learnt about this and expressed her desire to adopt the cub. This was confirmed by Van Vihar’s assistant director AK Khare. He stated that she called him up on Friday afternoon and wanted to adopt the cub. However, he points out that the name of the cub, which is presently housed in their zoo, is spelt Catreena.
According to Khare, Katrina will have to pay Rs. 50, 000 annually for the leopard and fill up a form and sign it. He asserts that he has informed them of the entire procedure but is yet to hear from them.

If our sources are to be believed, Katrina Kaif looks set to appear opposite Hrithik Roshan for the first time later this year. In a bid to boost her reputation as an actor, Kaif has been carefully choosing projects and currently has a busy schedule of filming lined up for 2010, including a potential role opposite Hrithik Roshan in Zoya Akthar’s next film.
If cast, Kaif would join Farkan Akthar, Abhay Deol and Hrithik Roshan in the as-yet-untitled road movie, to be filmed in Spain. Little is known about Kaif’s potential role as she remains tight-lipped on the matter; but Farhan Akhtar has reluctantly commented that: “It’s too early to talk about it, but yes, if Katrina does come into our project, she will be cast opposite Hrithik. He is the only one who gets to romance his love interest. Abhay and I have no love interest in the film.”
With Katrina recently stating that she would like to win a National Award, perhaps signing on for a film like this one is all part of her strategy. Shooting begins in April.

Good news for Salman Khan. A few days ago, he has uttered a wish to become dad and now his girl, Katrina Kaif, has announced a timeline to tie the knot.
Hot babe Katrina wants to get married in the year 2012 and “settled” in her beau’s home, without mentioning the name of who the lucky guy would be. There are a lot of speculations floating around as if the two are still together.
Till then, Kat will enjoy her time in the films. And the list starts form ‘Rockstar,’ ‘Dostana: 2’ and ‘Tees Maar Khan,’ which will be releasing this year.
Now Kat’s wish to get married after two years also gives one answer, she would stop looking for home. “I’ll get married and go to my husband’s home. Why put in so much money into a new home when I have a perfectly comfortable one at the moment?” she told.
